State Route 95 Road Closure

Thank you for visiting our website, we have some important information for you that may affect your touring plans into San Juan County, Bears Ears National Monument & Cedar Mesa.

State Route 95 Road Closure

As of August 6, 2021, The Utah Department of Transportation has extended the closure of the Cottonwood Wash Bridge on State Route 95 west of Blanding for an additional 60 days.

Three of our land-based tours have been affected by this road closure: Intro to Bears Ears, Arch Canyon UTV Excursion, and House of Fire.

The current closure of SR-95 extends approximately 28 miles from the junction of U.S. Highway 191 to SR-261. UDOT crews have deployed portable electronic message boards from several maintenance stations in southern Utah to key highway junctions to help inform motorists of the closure.

Public inquiries regarding the bridge repair project may be sent to [email protected]. For the latest on Utah road and traffic conditions please visit udottraffic.utah.gov or check the UDOT Traffic App.

If you have any questions about our region please don't hesitate to contact us at 435/672-2477 or 435/672-2244. There is no better place on earth to social distance than basking in the beautiful backcountry of Bears Ears National Monument. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to serving you soon!
