![]() Perception: A River Trip of Self Discovery, with Herm Hoops
Location: Bluff to Mexican Hat Overview“One has not only an ability to perceive the world but an ability to alter one’s perception of it; more simply, one can change things by the manner in which one looks at them. -Tom Robbins, Even Cowgirls Get the BluesHerm Hoops is a lifelong observer and interpreter of the Interior West and its rivers. He has explored them extensively himself, and in so doing has explored himself as a part of his surroundings. He has spent a great deal of time on the San Juan, and has studied how humans interact with the West’s rivers, from their management to their enjoyment, intently for several decades.
