Location: San Juan River, Bluff to Clay Hills OverviewFloat through 83 miles of one of the Southwest's finest rivers as we explore the state of Southwest rivers with Jon Waterman. Jon is a popular writer and photographer and has published two books, with a third on the way, about the rivers of the Southwest. To show change on the San Juan River, Jon will be taking repeat photographs of historic photos as part of this Southwest Rivers Project, which is sponsored by The National Geographic Society. In addition to the San Juan River, Jon will also be working on repeat photography on two dozen rivers across the Southwest.
